Thanks for joining us.

FT: The result meant that Manchester United progressed into their seventh major European competition Final and their first Europa League Final, where they will face Ajax, who defeated Lyon, who like Celta de Vigo, bowed out of the competition.

FT: Celta will be disappointed that they didn’t score a second goal. They created a number of good chances and deservedly drew level through Roncaglia, who was sent off. First Aspas tested Romero with a curling-effort before Guidetti fired just wide after Sisto teed the Swede up. Substitute Jozabed then fired an effort just wide before Guidetti headed wide from close-range after a fine cross from Mallo. Roncaglia then headed home the leveller on the night before getting sent off. Guidetti then spurned a late chance when he miscued his effort from close-range after substitute Beauvue’s pass.

FT: The hosts did well to hang-on late-on after conceding and having Bailly sent off. They created some good chances in the second-half with first Mkhitaryan denied by a fine save from Álvarez before Rashford had an effort smothered by the keeper. Fellaini then went close when his effort was palmed behind by Álvarez before Herrera had a goal disallowed after Pogba fouled Mallo, following Bailly’s dismissal. The only blip on United’s night will be the Bailly red card, whose indiscipline meant he will miss out on the Final.

FT: So Manchester United progress into the Europa League Final.

HT: So will Manchester United add to their tally and hold onto their lead or will Celta produce a surprise comeback? Join us again for the second-half.

HT: The visitors have created a number of good chances and have gone close on a few occasions. First Aspas cut-inside to fire a powerful effort that Romero palmed over the bar before a long-range strike from Hernández tested Romero, who tipped the strike over the bar. Sisto then curled an effort at-goal that Romer saved well before Wass headed wide after a teasing cross from Sisto. Guidetti then had a chance from a corner but his header was tame and straightforward for Romero. The visitors need to be more clinical in front of goal as they won’t want to rue their missed opportunities against a side like Manchester United, who have looked a threat on the break. The Spaniards need two goals without reply to send them through.

HT: The hosts actually started relatively slower than their Spanish opponents, but have been clinical, finding the net with their only clear-cut chance when Fellaini headed home from a fine Rashford cross-field pass. The hosts have looked relatively nervous in defence and will need to prevent the visitors from scoring to deny any hope of a comeback. The hosts do have a commanding-lead and are now just 45 minutes away from a first Europa League Final.

HT: So Manchester United lead at the break and have a two-goal aggregate lead.
