Thanks for joining us.

FT: The result means that Real Madrid will join Juventus in Cardiff for the UEFA Champions League Final, where they will aim to become the first side to defend the title since the change of format. Atlético Madrid bow out of the competition on aggregate, on the night where they were victorious in the final European match and Madrid Derby at the Estadio Vicente Calderón.

FT: Real Madrid deserve the victory over the two-legs. Despite conceding two early goals tonight and allowing Atlético to have a number of chances, they controlled the match and created a number of good chances themselves since levelling the scores and possibly could have found the net if they were hungry enough. First Ronaldo tested Oblak from a freekick before the Portuguese fired the ball wide from a pull-back from Marcelo. Modrić then had a goal disallowed as the linesman deemed Ronaldo to have been active despite not touching the ball from an offside position before Benzema headed a Marcelo cross just wide with a diving-header.

FT: The hosts were brilliant on the night and looked to have a comeback on the cards but Isco’s goal produced a sucker-punch, although the damage was already done in the first-leg. Atlético did produce some good chances in the second-half with Ferreira-Carrasco forcing Navas into a fine before Gameiro spurned a great chance when his follow-up was palmed away by Navas, who made a good instinctive-save. Griezmann then tested Navas from a tight-angle before the Frenchman was denied by the Costa-Rican keeper, who made another fine save, with a minute left to play.

FT: So Real Madrid will join Juventus in the UEFA Champions League Final in Cardiff after defeating Atlético Madrid on aggregate.

HT: So will Atlético stun Real Madrid and find three goals or will Los Blancos extend their aggregate lead? Join us again for the second-half.

HT: Real Madrid will not want to give Atlético any glimmer of hope and will seek to prevent the Rojiblancos from finding the net. Real know that another goal may well put the tie to bed and they will be eager to find another.

HT: Atlético will need to find another three goals in order to go through. They will need to be more clinical in front of-goal but they cannot afford to concede another or else the tie may well be over.

HT: Real Madrid started relatively slower than their Madrid counter-parts but did go close when Casemiro’s header from a Kroos freekick was brilliantly palmed away by Oblak before Isco cut-inside to fire an effort that Oblak saved well. Benzema then did brilliant to get past three players before finding Kroos, whose effort was parried by Oblak into the path of Isco, who followed-up successfully.

HT: The hosts started very well and went close when Koke met a Ferreira-Carrasco cross with a volley that Navas was forced to palm behind for a corner before Torres headed the resulting-corner into the ground and over the bar. Ñíguez then headed home before Griezmann fired home a penalty to reduce the deficit to one goal, after a foul from Varane in the penalty-area.

HT: So Atlético Madrid lead on the night but Real Madrid still lead on the aggregate.
