Thanks for joining us.

FT: The result means that Roma leapfrogged Napoli into second on 78 points, seven points behind leaders Juventus, while AC Milan remained in sixth on 59 points. The victory was the fourth for Roma against both Milan sides, as the Giallorossi did the league double against both Inter & Milan for the first time since 1955.

FT: Milan’s best chance in the second-half was the goal they scored. They were very disappointing defensively and have Donnarumma to thank for keeping the scoreline lower than it should have been as it could have been five or six. Paletta also saw red late-on for his challenge, which resulted in a penalty, which was converted by De Rossi.

FT: The visitors were rarely troubled in truth and shifted into third gear but since Pašalić’s goal, the Giallorossi switched on to make sure of all three points. First Emerson went close when his snapshot was saved by Donnarumma before Džeko dragged an effort just wide. El Shaarawy then produced a good save from Donnarumma before the former Milan striker curled home after Pašalić’s header. Salah then had an effort blocked before De Rossi made it four from the penalty-spot after Paletta’s challenge sent Salah tumbling in the area.

FT: So Roma comfortably defeat Milan to close the gap on leaders Juventus to seven points.

HT: So will Roma add to their tally to put the tie to bed or will Milan produce a surprise come back to dent Roma’s title aspirations? Join us again for the second-half.

HT: Roma will need to find another goal to put the tie to bed but they will also need to be wary of Milan’s threat on the break. Milan have to score if they are to come back in this match but they will need to be more clinical in front of goal. Milan do have Carlos Bacca on the bench as well as a number of quality of players on the bench, who may be summoned if their performance fails to improve. Roma will need to be more clinical themselves, they have had a catalog of chances to extend their lead and they will not want to rue their missed opportunities.

HT: Milan have been rather disappointing. They have got into some promising positions but have been wasteful in the final third with Deulofeu delaying the key-pass. Lapadula has been quiet although he has been deprived of service. Their best chance fell to Sosa, whose powerful effort from-range forced Szczęsny into a fine save.

HT: The visitors have been very impressive thus far as much as Milan have been poor. The Giallorossi have created a number of good chances and may well have scored four or five had it not been for the heroics of Donnarumma. First Džeko fired the ball home in what was their first real chance before Emerson tested Donnarumma. Perotti then went very close when his curling-effort from-range was tipped onto the post by Donnaruma before a misplaced clearance from Vangioni fell to Džeko, who fired the ball over the bar. Džeko then doubled their lead with a header before Perotti fired an effort into the side-netting from a tight-angle. Salah then curled an effort just wide before Salah fired the loose ball over the bar after Nainggolan’s strike was tipped onto the post by Donnarumma. Perotti was then denied by Donnarumma from a tight-angle.

HT: So Roma comfortably lead at the break.
