1-3

Thanks for joining us.

FT: The result means that Chelsea remain top of the league and now move onto 75 points while Bournemouth remain in 15th on 35 points.

FT: The hosts didn’t create many chances in the second-half but they did go close when Fraser’s effort from-range flew inches wide but Chelsea were always comfortable.

FT: The visitors had to withstand some pressure from the Cherries in the second-half but were comfortable and clinched the victory with a fine freekick from Alonso. They had a number of good chances to wrap the game up, first Costa failed to connect with a dangerous cross from Alonso before the latter curled home from a freekick. Moses then forced a fine save from Boruc before Costa’s tame effort produced a comfortable save from Boruc.

FT: So Chelsea put the tie to bed to remain seven points clear of Tottenham Hotspur.

HT: So will Chelsea add to their tally and hold on or will Bournemouth come back in this match? Join us again for the second-half.

HT: Bournemouth will need to find the next goal if they are to get anything from this game. They’ve got into some great positions but haven’t made the most of them and will need to get better service to King and Afobe, who have proven to be a threat for the Chelsea defence. They must also be at their best defensively to prevent Chelsea from putting the tie to bed.

HT: Chelsea have been wasteful in truth given the number of chances they’ve created and could and possibly should have been out of sight at the break. The visitors will need to be more clinical in front of goal as they will not want to rue the missed opportunities against Bournemouth, who have produced a number of comebacks this season. Costa has been below-par thus far and will need to be sharper if he is to get the better of this well-drilled Bournemouth defence. Chelsea will need to be more alert in the second-half and be more disciplined defensively.

HT: The hosts have been unlucky and could have gone ahead themselves, in the first minute, had Luiz’s miscued clearance got the better of his own keeper but Courtois made a fine save. Fraser then fired an effort wide on the break before Afobe struck the post on the volley with the loose ball hitting Courtois and staying out. That was before King’s deflected effort before the break gave the Cherries hope.

HT: The visitors had looked comfortable for the majority of the half and created a number of good chances since taking a two-goal lead but they have been wasteful and a lapse in defence has given the hosts a lifeline. First Hazard headed wide on the slide before Costa’s deflected effort put Chelsea ahead. Hazard then doubled their lead soon after before Costa dragged an effort wide. Costa also fired wide via deflection before Pedro fired off-target after cutting-inside. Pedro then forced Boruc into a good save following a corner before Moses headed wide under-pressure.

HT: So Chelsea narrowly lead at the break.
