Thanks for joining us.

FT: The result means that Roma will need to score two goals at the Stadio Olimpico in order to level the aggregate score. The Giallorossi’s two away goals may be crucial should they progress into the next round, but they will also need to prevent Lyon from scoring. Lyon just need to prevent the Italian side from scoring two goals which will be a difficult task, so it is important for the French side to find the net too.

FT: The scoreline seems harsh on Roma, who created a number of good chances in the second-half after spurning their lead. First Strootman forced Lopes into a fine save before Džeko had an effort blocked after Gonalons lost possession. Peres then cut-inside but his effort was tame and Lopes made an easy stop before a tame header from Džeko produced a straightforward save from Lopes. Emerson then went close but his powerful effort only stung the palms of Lopes, who gathered the ball at the second-attempt.

FT: The hosts did well to come from behind and created a number of good chances. Tolisso fired home from their first opportunity in the second-half before Ghezzal and Gonalons produced good saves from Alisson. Lacazette and Valbuena then went close with fine efforts but Alisson made fine saves yet again. Substitute Fekir then fired the ball home after a fine run before Lacazette tested Alisson at his near-post. Tolisso then fired an effort just wide before Fekir was denied by a good save from Alisson. That was before Lacazette wonderfully fired home into the top-corner.

FT: So Lyon come from behind to take a 4-2 first-leg lead.

HT: So will Lyon come back in the first-leg or will Roma add to their tally to take back to the Stadio Olimpico? Join us again for the second-half.

HT: Roma have the advantage with two away-goals and will be happy with the lead although they may want to add to their first-leg tally to take back to the Italian capital. Lyon will want to take something to Roma and will need to at least level the scores in the first-leg if they are to stand a chance.

HT: The hosts have got into some promising positions but have lacked the cutting-edge in the final third. Their defending has been poor in truth with Diakhaby gifting the visitors the leveller before Roma took the lead after lacklustre defending from a corner. Roma have looked nervous from set-pieces themselves, conceding early after Diakhaby headed home following a freekick. They have also failed to clear their lines on a number of occasions to invite more Lyon pressure. However the visitors have been clinical on the break and are possibly unfortunate to not be further ahead with a number of good chances spurned.

HT: Lyon created a number of good chances and will be disappointed to trail at the break having surrendered their lead. The hosts opened the scoring with their first attempt with Diakhaby heading home following a freekick before his error led to Roma’s equaliser after Valbuena had an effort blocked. Gonalons then went close from-range but Alisson made an easy save before Valbuena’s freekick produced a routine-save from Alisson.

HT: The visitors started well and created a number of good chances before falling behind, before eventually taking the lead. First Nainggolan forced Lopes into a fine save before Salah fired the ball over the bar. Džeko then headed a Salah cross over the bar after Lyon took the lead before Salah pounced on an error from Diakhaby to level the scores. Strootman then spurned a great chance when played through on-goal as he delayed his strike allowing Lyon to charge the ball behind. Fazio then headed home a fine De Rossi cross following a corner.

HT: So Roma lead at the break.
