Stadio Giuseppe Meazza (San Siro), Milan, Italy
85′ Perotti (P)
Thanks for joining us.
FT: The result means that Roma remain in second on 59 points but now close the gap on leaders Juventus to seven points whilst Inter remain in sixth on 48 points.
FT: The hosts initially started the second-half well and went close on a number of occasions. First with Candreva, whose effort was tipped behind by Szczęsny. Then Perišić fired an effort just over the bar via a deflection before Nainggolan’s goal, which they thought had an infringement earlier when Gagliardini was barged-off by the Belgian but the referee was unmoved. Candreva then fired an effort into the side-netting before Kondogbia failed to divert a corner goalwards. Icardi then pulled a goal back after a Perišić shot fell his way before Medel’s foolish challenge gifted the visitors a penalty, which Perotti converted. Icardi then headed a corner just over the bar before Éder had a shot smothered by Szczęsny.
FT: The visitors were more clinical in the second-half. First Nainggolan fired home from-range before Džeko headed an effort wide of the target after Handanović was caught-out. Manolas then headed the ball over the bar before Perotti fired home from the penalty-spot.
FT: So Roma manage to defeat Inter to close the gap on leaders Juventus.

HT: So will Inter come back into this match or will Roma add to their tally? join us again for the second-half.
HT: The visitors will need to be more clinical in front of goal if they are to add to their tally and seal the victory. Džeko and Salah have got into some promising positions but haven’t had their finishing-boots on thus far, although Handanović has done well to deny them. The hosts will need to get better service into Icardi, who has been largely isolated. The striker has been feeding on scraps and hasn’t managed to get the better of Manolas and Fazio. However Inter will also need to be wary of their opponents offensive threat. They have looked nervous at times with Murillo finding it difficult to cope with Nainggolan and the runs of Džeko.
HT: The hosts did respond well since going behind and went close when a Mário strike was blocked well by Manolas before Icardi headed just wide following a corner. Brozović went close to levelling the scores a minute before the break but Szczęsny made a fine save.
HT: The visitors started the game well and deserve their lead, having created a number of good chances. First Salah forced Handanović into a fine save before Nainggolan wonderfully curled Roma ahead. Then Džeko went close when his effort was saved well by Handanović before Murillo’s error almost allowed Salah to double their lead but Gagliardini and Perišić did well to deny him.
HT: So Roma lead at the break.
