Premier League

November 6th

Emirates Stadium, London, England

1-1

42′ Wimmer (OG)

51′ Kane (P)

Thanks for joining us.

FT: The draw was possibly the most fair result despite both sides hitting the post in the match. The result means that Arsenal go level on points with Man City on 24 points whilst Tottenham remain in fifth on 21 points before the rest of the weekend’s games.

FT: Arsenal didn’t make the most of their chances in the second-half. Lloris was forced into action a few times to palm away a teasing delivery from Iwobi before smothering an effort from Özil. A few minutes later Ramsey went close when he fired a volley just over the bar before Giroud had a header saved by compatriot Lloris.

FT: Tottenham started the second-half well and a poor error from Koscielny cost his side all three points. The Frenchman fouled Dembélé and Kane stepped up to fire home the equaliser. Spurs had a good chance to make it two soon after when Eriksen had a fine effort saved by Čech. Kane nearly managed to get onto a fine Rose cross but Bellerín made a fine challenge to deny the returning striker. Late on Eriksen hit the post when his dangerous delivery evaded everyone including Čech.

FT: So Tottenham have managed to come back in this match and get a point to extend their unbeaten run in the League.

HT: Arsenal will need a second goal to seal the victory knowing that Tottenham are more than capable of scoring an equaliser. So will Arsenal hold on and add to their tally or will Tottenham come back in this match? Join us again for the second-half.

HT: Arsenal’s goal was contentious. Özil’s delivery was played into a position where Koscielny and Sánchez were both offside, but the flag didn’t go up and Wimmer was forced into getting something onto the ball however unfortunately for him, it went in.

HT: The Gunners created very little in the early stages but grew into the game after the half-hour-mark when Sánchez found Özil, who fired just wide first-time. Then Iwobi had an effort saved by Lloris when he should have scored. Walcott then fired a ferocious effort against the post from-range before Arsenal took the lead.

HT: The visitors initially started the better with Walker and Kane going close. First Walker headed a Rose cross over the bar before Kane met an Eriksen cross but headed wide. Spurs haven’t made the most of their chances and faded allowing Arsenal to grow into the game.

HT: So Arsenal lead at the break thanks to a controversial own-goal from Wimmer.
