Thanks for joining us.

FT: The result means that Bayer Leverkusen remain in third on three points, ahead of CSKA Moscow on two points, who drew with Monaco, whilst Tottenham remain in second on four points, behind Monaco (who have five points).

FT: Tottenham barely created anything in the second-half but they should have taken the lead in the first-half when Alli headed wide before Janssen hit the bar and Lamela’s follow-up was tipped over the bar.

FT: It’s been a tale of two halves where Tottenham dominated the first-half and Leverkusen dominating the second. The hosts had a number of fine chances, with Hernández’s effort from close-range not crossing the line; although Lloris deserves credit for denying the Mexican. Lloris made a number of impressive saves in the second-half from Aránguiz, Mehmedi and Kießling, who also spurned a great chance after good work from Kampl. Rose also made a fine contribution for Tottenham making some fine last-ditch-challenges to deny Aránguiz and Hernández.

FT: So the game ends goalless.

48′ Rose wins a freekick.

48′ Chance!! Bender sends in a dangerous low cross that falls to Hernández, whose effort on the slide is adjudged to have been palmed away by Lloris on the line. The Mexican is incensed the ball crossed the line but the referee is unmoved. The former Manchester United striker should have scored in truth.

47′ Mehmedi wins a freekick.

45′ Disallowed goal!! Mehmedi fires home into the unguarded net after Lloris came out to clear a cross-field pass, however the referee had already blown for a freekick after the French keeper was caught by Hernández.

45′ Bayer Leverkusen get the second-half underway.

45′ During the interval the German side make their first change with Çalhanoğlu replaced by Julian Baumgartlinger.

HT: So will it be Leverkusen to break the deadlock first or will Tottenham find the opener? Join us again for the second-half.

HT: However, Tottenham must be wary of the threat of Leverkusen on the break especially with the pace of Hernández. Çalhanoğlu has sent in a number of testing deliveries too and should Tottenham concede a freekick in a dangerous position, the Turkish midfielder could capitalise.

HT: Tottenham have used the ball well in the attacking-half and Trippier has sent in a number of great deliveries but as of yet, no-one in a Spurs shirt has been able to apply the finishing touches. It seems only a matter of time before the visitors break the deadlock.

HT: After quite an evenly contested first 20 minutes the game opened up in Tottenham’s favour. The German side initially started well; pressing Spurs intensely high up the pitch. The only chances they created was when Toprak, Kampl and Hernández all missed the target.

HT: The visitors have had the better chances and should be ahead. First Alli headed wide from a fine Trippier cross, then Janssen hit the bar with a header before Lamela’s rebound was tipped over the bar by Leno.

HT: So we’re goalless at the break with nothing to separate the two sides.
