FT: The result means that Northern Ireland go third in Group C, behind Germany and Poland who face-off later this evening, whilst Ukraine are bottom without a point.

FT: It was Northern Ireland’s first goals in tournament competition in almost 30 years. Northern Ireland played below their usual standard but they didn’t need to against a Ukraine side that despite having chances, couldn’t take them.

FT: So Northern Ireland win their first game of the European Championships thanks to two second-half goals from McAuley and McGinn

HT: So will Northern Ireland go ahead or will Ukraine find a goal themselves? Join us again for the second-half.

HT: Ukraine have looked dangerous on the break, but as of yet, McGovern hasn’t been troubled so far, but that may change as the game progresses.

HT: Neither side has really got into their stride but Northern Ireland have had the better chances with Cathcart coming within inches to finding the lead. Dallas and Davis also forced Pyatov into good saves, but they were saves he was expected to make.
