UEFA Euro 2016

Group E

June 13th

Stade de France, Saint-Denis, France

1-1

48′ Hoolahan

71′ Clark (OG)

Thanks for joining us.

FT: The result means that Republic of Ireland and Sweden top Group E with a point before Belgium and Italy face-off.

FT: Ibrahimović didn’t look involved for a long part of the game, but he played his part and Sweden scored to break Irish hearts.

FT: So a Clark own goal has denied the Boys in Green a much deserved win although they faded in the second period and Sweden capitalised. The Republic of Ireland played brilliantly with a fine performance that merited the victory.

45′ The Republic of Ireland get the second-half underway.

HT: So will the Republic of Ireland open the scoring or will Sweden capitalise on the Republic of Ireland’s missed opportunities? Join us again for the second-half.

HT: Sweden have barely got going, in fact their talisman Ibrahimović has barely been involved and they will need to get him involved if they are to get something from this game.

HT: Hendrick has struck the woodwork too with a fantastic strike and forced Isaksson into a good save too. O’Shea also a good opportunity from a corner but just couldn’t make any contact.

HT: So we’re goalless at the break with the Republic of Ireland dominating the play and creating a number of good chances.
