UEFA Euro 2016
Stade Vélodrome, Marseille, France
Thanks for joining us.
FT: The result means that England go joint-second and share a point with Russia, who are third, behind Wales in first. Slovakia remain bottom.
FT: England played brilliantly throughout the match however they should have scored another and it cost them.
FT: It looked as though Dier’s goal had given England the victory but the Three Lions lost concentration towards the end and in the end they were caught out.
FT: So England couldn’t close the game out and Russia have capitalised. England have had a catalogue of chances but couldn’t take them and Russia punished them with a late, late goal.

45′ Russia get the second-half underway.
HT: So how long will England take to score the next goal or will Russia surprise us and take the lead themselves? Join us again for the second-half.
HT: Russia’s only effort has been from a set-piece, where England have been far from convincing. Should Russia take their chances, England may rue their missed opportunities.
HT: England have come close on a number of occasions with Lallana and Rooney forcing Akinfeev into action time and time again. It seems that it’s only a matter of time before the Three Lions break the deadlock.
HT: So it’s goalless at the break with England well on top in terms of the number of chances created. Russia have rarely threatened much to England’s credit to have dominated possession.
