80′ Mata

110′ Lingard

Thanks for joining us.

FT: Two substitutes have changed this game but it was United’s Lingard who proved to make the difference.

FT: The result meant that United equalled Arsenal’s FA Cup tally of twelve titles whilst Alan Pardew lost his third FA Cup Final, his second as a manger and his second as a member of Crystal Palace. It was harsh on the Eagles who should have had led before the break had Mark Clattenburg played the advantage for Wickham to find the net, but it wasn’t to be and United skipper Wayne Rooney, like many others in that team, will be awarded his first FA Cup winners medal and trophy.

FT: So United have come from a man down to defeat the Eagles who led for a brief moment thanks to substitute Puncheon but Mata’s goal levelled the tie before another substitute in Jesse Lingard gave United the victory.

120’+2′ The referee blows his whistle to bring the FA Cup Final to an end. The ten-men of Manchester United have beaten Crystal Palace.

120′ There will be two additional minutes.

119′ Chance!! Zaha beats his man before firing an effort over the bar.

118′ Delay over.

116′ Chance!! Ward plays Zaha through but De Gea gets there to claim the ball at the feet of Zaha. The keeper is receiving treatment.

114′ Bolasie is penalised for handball.

111′ Chance!! Jedinak curls an effort just wide.

110′ Goal!! Another substitute scores the goal!! The team with ten have the lead. Valencia does well to get forward his first cross is blocked before the ball drops to Lingard who volleys home into the top-corner. Lingard receives a yellow card for his extravagant celebration.

109′ Chance!! Lingard finds Carrick with a cross who heads wide. It was a free header and he really should have scored.

107′ The corner is cleared before McArthur receives a yellow card for a cynical challenge on Lingard.

106′ Bolasie wins a corner.

106′ Close!! Zaha finds Gayle who’s onside but his poked finish is saved by De Gea with his feet.

105′ Palace get the second period of Extra-Time underway.

ET HT: De Gea made a fine save to deny Bolasie’s volley but it’s still level-pegging.

ET HT: So Smalling’s dismissal has given the Eagles a man advantage and United are fortunate not to be down to nine with Rooney also fortunate to still be on the pitch.

105′ Dismissal!! Smalling cynically pulls back Bolasie and he’s already on a yellow card and Clattenburg rightly gives his his second before showing him his marching orders.

101′ The corner is cleared.

101′ Close!! Bolasie meets a clearing header on the volley but De Gea makes a fine save to tip it behind.

100′ Fellaini receives a yellow card for an elbow on Jedinak.

99′ The corner is cleared and Puncheon is caught by Rooney who is lucky not to receive a second yellow card as the referee opts to keep 11 players on each side.

98′ Souaré concedes a corner.

97′ Chance!! Rooney receives the ball and he tries to bend it goalwards but it goes wide.

93′ Fellaini is penalised for a foul.

90′ Zaha looks to be away after a fine through-ball from Bolasie but he tries to cut back inside and Blind makes a good challenge to deny the former United man before Rooney does likewise.

90′ United get the first-period of Extra-Time underway.

ET: The Red Devils have hit the woodwork on two separate occasions with Fellaini and Martial and despite dominating the possession for the majority of the game they haven’t created as many clear-cut chances. The Eagles have had opportunities too with Delaney and Zaha going close but like United their chances haven’t been clear-cut.

ET: So Palace who should have been ahead at half-time went ahead through a fine goal from substitute Puncheon but 175 seconds later, Mata  made the breakthrough in fortuitous terms with his effort just about beating Ward on the line.

90’+5′ The referee blows his whistle to bring the second-half to an end. We are going to extra-time.

90’+3′ Chance!! Zaha steals the ball off Smalling before firing an effort into the side-netting with some supporters thinking that was in.

90’+3′ Final Palace change sees Adrian Mariappa replace Dann.

90′ There will be five additional minutes.

89′ Final United change sees Mata depart for Jesse Lingard.

88′ Chance!! Dann meets the corner but his header goes wide.

87′ Smalling concedes another corner.

87′ Zaha wins a corner.

87′ Chance!! Souaré finds Zaha at the back-post but he can’t make contact and swings and misses.

86′ Rooney goes into the book for a two-footed challenge on Zaha.

85′ Second Palace change sees Wickham depart for Dwight Gayle.

83′ Zaha wins a freekick after a foul from Darmian.

80′ Goal!! Rooney makes a fine surging run, he picks out Fellaini at the back-post who chests the ball before Mata volleys home although Ward very nearly blocked it again. The ball hit the full-back’s leg before going in. Game on!!

78′ Goal!! Puncheon’s delivery is cleared before Ward’s delivery back in find Puncheon who does well to stay onside, take a touch and volley home past De Gea. It’s the super-sub, like Lee Martin for United in 1990.

77′ Smalling concedes a corner.

75′ Wickham wins a freekick near the half-way-line.

71′ First Palace change sees Cabaye depart for Jason Puncheon. The United change is also made.

71′ Bolasie is caught offside.

70′ The youngster has to leave the field and looks like he is going to be replaced by Ashley Young.

68′ Carrick kicks the ball out of play as Rashford is down. The youngster is receiving treatment.

66′ Chance!! Cabaye’s delivery causes havoc before Delaney’s ambitious volley loops onto the roof of the net.

66′ Rooney is penalised for a foul on Cabaye.

65′ First United change sees Rojo depart for Matteo Darmian.

64′ Chance!! Rojo pulls the ball back to Martial but his effort is charged down and Hennessey claims the loose ball.

64′ Rojo is back on the field again.

63′ Rojo has to leave the field to get the all-clear.

61′ Delaney receives a yellow card for his follow-through which caught Rojo although he was entitled to go for that ball. The Argentine is receiving treatment.

60′ So close!! The corner is cleared before Martial meets a cross for the right to head the ball against the far-post with Hennessey beaten again.

60′ Souaré concedes a corner.

59′ The corner is eventually cleared.

58′ Delaney concedes a corner.

57′ Cabaye’s delivery is straightforward for De Gea.

56′ Bolasie wins a freekick after a foul by Blind. Another good position this for the Eagles.

55′ Chance!! Cabaye’s delivery is headed by Smalling into the path of Jedinak whose first-time effort goes harmlessly wide. He had time and really should have made more of that.

55′ Smalling is penalised for handball. Freekick in a good position for the Eagles.

52′ So close!! Rashford backheels the ball to Fellaini whose first-time effort rattles the woodwork with Hennessey rooted to the spot.

49′ McArthur is caught just offside.

46′ Rashford is cynically fouled by Dann who receives a yellow card.

45′ Rojo is caught offside.

45′ United get the game underway.

HT: So will it be Palace to get revenge for the 1990 Final or will United punish the Eagles and capitalise on Clattenburg’s decisions.

HT: The Eagles will feel hard-done-by as a result of some rather poor officiating by Clattenburg but as it stands it’s still goalless.

HT: De Gea hasn’t been troubled much but he has been called into action – making a fine save to tip Bolasie’s header over the bar from a Cabaye freekick. He may have been made to work more had Palace taken their chances when Blind and Carrick lost possession.

HT: United have dominated possession in this game and have created the majority of chances but despite this Hennessey has been rather comfortable. The Palace keeper was only tested from a deflected Rooney strike and a curling effort from Mata. United perhaps would have gone in front had Ward not made a vital block from a Martial effort.

HT: It’s goalless at half-time much to the credit of referee Clattenburg who has really been the main talking-point in the match. He’s prevented Wickham from scoring his goal and then ended a fine chance for Ward to attack down the right.

45’+1′ The referee blows his whistle to bring the first 45 minutes to an end.

45′ There will be one additional minute.

44′ Mata catches Souaré late and receives a yellow card but again Palace were in a promising position had Clattenburg not blown his whistle.

39′ Ward bursts forward but Clattenburg pulls play back for a foul by Rojo who receives a yellow card. He would have been away there but once again the referee decides to bring play back.

37′ Carrick bursts forward before firing harmlessly over the bar.

36′ The corner is cleared.

35′ Chance!! Mata receives the pull-back from the right but his effort is blocked.

34′ Penalty appeal!! Blind loses out to Zaha who looks to have been brought down by Rooney who didn’t get anything on the ball but instead the referee Clattenburg decides to give a freekick the other way for a handball by Zaha.

32′ The corner comes to nothing as a result of a foul.

32′ Chance!! Rashford beats his man before pulling the ball back to Martial whose effort is blocked terrifically by Ward to deny a clear goal.

27′ Chance!! Cabaye intercepts the ball and finds Wickham who fires wide.

27′ Close!! Bolasie tries an effort from-range but De Gea makes a smart save.

26′ Zaha is cynically fouled by Martial.

24′ Chance!! The delivery is met by Fellaini but his header is deflected just wide.

24′ Valencia wins a corner.

22′ Chance!! Rooney fires the freekick over.

22′ Cabaye is penalised for a foul. Freekick in a good position for United.

21′ Close!! A snapshot by Mata is palmed away by Hennessey.

20′ The corner comes to nothing as Wickham is penalised for a foul.

19′ De Gea cannot prevent the ball from going behind and Palace have a corner.

18′ The corner eventually comes to nothing.

18′ Close!! Cabaye’s delivery is flicked-on by Bolasie and De Gea is forced to tip it over.

17′ Smalling receives a yellow card for a cynical foul on Wickham, the striker bursts forward and puts the ball into the back of the net but the referee had already blown. That’s a real let-off for United who should be a goal down. Mark Clattenburg should have played the advantage.

15′ Rooney finds Rojo but the Argentine miscues his cross and Hennessey claims at his near-post.

14′ Close!! A deflected strike from Rooney is saved by Hennessey before the keeper gathers at the second attempt.

12′ Fellaini wins a freekick.

10′ Chance!! Fellaini meets the delivery but it goes harmlessly wide.

10′ Souaré concedes a corner.

9′ Chance!! Mata and Rashford combine before the striker’s effort is deflected over for a corner.

7′ The corner comes to nothing.

6′ Marial wins another corner.

6′ Delaney concedes a corner.

5′ Fellaini meets a Blind cross following a corner but Hennessey claims the ball.

5′ Henessey can’t prevent the ball going out for a corner.

4′ Cabaye is penalised for a foul on Carrick.

3′ Cabaye’s delivery is claimed by De Gea.

3′ Bolasie wins a corner.

2′ Rooney just overhits a pass towards Valencia.

0′ Crystal Palace get the game underway.
