Thanks for joining us.

FT: The result means that Norwich remain a point ahead of Sunderland on 31 points, whilst Sunderland close the gap to one point and they have a game in-hand.

FT: Redmond offered more energy and went close to finding an equaliser when he struck the post but Mannone was relatively comfortable – making good saves when called upon.

FT: Norwich offered little in truth, their biggest threat came from set-pieces but Cattermole defended resolutely.

FT: The visitors could have had four or five in truth, although some may argue that the Black Cats’ second goal may not have counted had Marriner awarded freekick from Kirchhoff’s challenge on Bassong.

FT: There were a few questionable decisions including some penalty shouts for the hosts but Sunderland deserved the victory.

FT: So Sunderland move to within a point of the Canaries thanks to today’s victory.

HT: So will Norwich come back to salvage a point or even a victory or will the Black Cats hold on to move within a point of the Canaries? Join us again for the second-half.

HT: Norwich will be incensed it wasn’t a penalty however it was the right call from referee Andre Marriner as Wisdom’s challenge was high and late on Borini, who stepped up to convert the spot-kick.

HT: However the biggest talking point in this game so far has been the penalty which led to the goal.

HT: Sunderland have had chances too with Borini and Cattermole firing off-target.

HT: The hosts had chances and could have gone ahead had it not been for Mannone who made a brilliant save to deny Kaboul scoring an own goal before tipping over a fine volley from Olsson.
