However, that was all after the flag was up. The Nigerian international was acutally onside, it was a shocking decision from the linesman.

80′ Sánchez tries to find Walcott, but his pass is overhit.

46′ What a chance!! Gibbs gets to the byline, he pulls it back to Walcott but his deflected effort off Davies is saved well by Jakupović.

45′ Hull City kick us off.

HT: As is stands it’s goalless at the break. Will Arsenal bring the ‘big guns’ on or will the Tigers cause an upset.

HT: The visitors haven’t really threatened David Ospina yet, although he did look nervous when a dangerous delivery from Shaun Maloney had the Colombian in ‘no man’s land’.

HT: A few talking points such as the penalty shouts, two of three are definitely not penalties, in fact they are both dives, but the Alex Bruce scenario earlier in the game could have been given.

HT: Danny Welbeck and Theo Walcott have done well for the Gunners, forcing Eldin Jakupović into some fine saves, albeit ones he would be expected to make.

HT: So the visitors have done well to frustrate the reigning FA Cup champions, and have done so with youngster Josh Tyman having an impressive first 45 minutes.

45’+1′ Mike Dean blows his whistle to bring the first 45 minutes to an end.

45′ There will be one additional minute.

42′ Arsenal win a corner, but nothing comes of it.

41′ The set-piece is met by Davies, but his shots on two occasions don’t trouble Ospina.

40′ Cynical foul by Koscielny sees him receive a yellow card as Diomandé pressures the Frenchman.

37′ Campbell plays a nice one-two with Welbeck, but Bruce clears the danger. Moments later, the latter does well to drive into the box before going down. Mike Dean says no penalty, however, this time he decides not to go to his pocket. Hmm.

34′ Taylor’s delivery is met by Maguire, but his header is harmlessly off-target.

34′ Maloney takes and it’s headed behind by Koscielny. That could have gone anywhere.

33′ Diomandé wins a freekick in a good position for the visitors.

32′ Maloney receives a yellow card for a cynical foul on Walcott. That was after Taylor lost possession cheaply.

30′ Shouts for a penalty as Maguire goes down under a challenge from Campbell, but Mike Dean blows the whistle to book the Hull City midfielder for simulation. Good decision from the referee.

23′ Sloppy spell from both sides. Some poor passing prevents both sides from getting forward.

19′ Walcott is played through by Welbeck, he’s held up well by Davies, but the England winger manages to get in a cross, but it’s blocked.

16′ From the corner, the hosts come close on a handful of occasions, Flamini’s effort is first charged down, it’s then worked to Iwobi from Campbell and the youngster creates a yard of space before curling an effort just wide of the post.

15′ Chambers finds Welbeck, who forces Jakupović into a good save and the visitors clear to concede the corner.

13′ Walcott swivels and on the turn, he shoots, but again it’s straight down Jakupović’s throat.

12′ Walcott beats Davies, and the former crosses for Welbeck, but it’s straightfoward for Jakupović.
